Mark offers private, personal dog training sessions to help with most behaviour issues.
It is quite normal to try and fix your dog’s behavioural issues by speaking to friends and family, searching Google, reading books, and watching videos on the internet. Often times this advice can contradict itself, and it can be difficult to know which advice applies in which situation.
Dog training has also been compared to a sport, where technique is important. Often it takes a professional to offer advice on where to improve your technique, and help you know which action to take in a particular situation.
Mark offers private consultations for a variety of common behaviour problems such as:
There is usually an initial phone discussion where you describe the exact issue(s) and Mark will ask various questions to better understand the situation.
After this free phone consultation, Mark will come to your location for an initial assessment and one-on-one consultation. During this initial visit, Mark will meet with you and the dog and assess the behaviours for himself. He can then immediately provide some general information and advice, and discuss further training requirements and estimates. He will answer your most urgent questions, and often leave you with several handouts. Afterwards you will receive personalised notes with specific advice for your situation. This initial assessment and consult usually runs for 2-3 hours and has a flat rate of $250.
In certain cases, either during the phone chat or on-site visit, Mark may determine that a specialist is required. In such cases he will refer you on to a veterinary behaviourist that he works closely with.
